So! I started Zbrush a week ago. I have been trying to get out a model a day to get my skills up. It's been the one class I have been having trouble with keeping up in, 3D has. Our school uses 3Ds Max and I just can not get my head around it. I can't say that zbrush has been any better to me but I have pushed through it and have been enjoying the modeling process finally.
My skills are still very weak but I hope to improve.
This is my first completed model. Simply a wolf head. I got overly excited about the painting. hehe..
The second model I had ever completed. I was at first trying to get ahead of myself and tried to sketch up full body characters. I ended up going back to just working on a head again. This time a velociraptor. I probably needed to add more texture and creases in its skin in the model process. I am still rather fond of the painting job on this guy.
Some sort of Goblin mount. I started with a simple chunky body to get me into doing full characters. The toes are a challenge in zbrush. The idea of the paint was to give it a camouflage skin.
A goblin to go with the mount. This model gave me alot of trouble and I will not continue working with this one. The mesh on the fingers flipped out on me. I have not yet figured out how to avoid or fix this problem. He is still adorable with his derp face.
A progress shot I feel like sharing. This is the beginings of my Amaterasu sculpt.
This one could be better yeah. This is Amaterasu from Okami. She is in my style, she came out more puppish than I wanted though I have ended up liking that about this model. The shield should have been floating and I am still very new to all of this I do not know how to do it yet. I figured the flames should be painted on too. I like it for what it is but still could have been greatly improved in many areas.
Overloaded with art yet?
